Paid Versus Organic Traffic Strategies
Paid Web Traffic
Paid traffic is web traffic that is brought to your website after clicking from a paid advertising campaign, leading them to your website. Paid traffic can be a great tool for business building. Often times, my clients will pay for advertising on Google Ads, Meta (the integrated version of Facebook and Instagram), Tik-Tok, and more. The great thing about this type of strategy is that you can target specific segment of the market-whether it be age, locale, or another demographic--or set thereof). But there is another type of paid advertisement that clients do not often consider...SEM, or Search Engine Marketing. Search Engine Marketing is done by paying the search engine to list your results on first on the list.
Organic Web Traffic
Organic traffic are visitors to your website that found you on happenstance on a search engine like Google. Well, let's be honest, it is NOT happenstance. This is called SEO, or search engine optimization. There are several ways that you can optimize your search engine. One of them is to use good keywords, things that people are searching for. You also need to make sure that you promote the content by sending out emails (e-mail campaigns) with links. If you use Wordpress, a great tool for SEO is Yoast SEO. It helps you by offering tips on keyword saturation, sentence length, readability, and so much more.
