Streamline and Automation In Business
Do you ever feel like there aren't enough hours in the day? Between trying to build your brand, manage your social media, juggle your home life, there just isn't enough time! That is where automation and streamlining applicable parts of your business. It can really save time and simplify parts of your business. When you do these things, you will find that you are getting more consistent results.
Automation
Automation is just like it sounds, "automatic". It involves setting up systems and processes one time in your business, and allowing a workflow to take over. Quick tip: One way to handle your own marketing is to schedule your posts to publish at a certain time. Of course, you have to take the time to make your marketing material to post. Another way to automate your systems is by using Constant Contact. (Click here for a free trial). There are several things you can automate
- A welcome email
- A post purchase email (requesting reviews are a good idea)
- A "you left something in your cart" email
Streamlining
Streamlining your business is the idea of setting up consistent processes within your business model. So, for example, when I have a new client, I have an intake form that they fill out. At my desk, I have a workflow for that process. I make contact, they fill out the intake, I read it, follow up with questions, and then set a meeting. This process is made to go in that order...EVERY....SINGLE....TIME. In business, when creating a process like this, it is important to stick to it. However, it doesnt mean that you cannot improve upon your processes.
Your aim is to find the parts of your business that can be streamlined or automated and make it work for you. This allows you to spend more time on the bread and butter of your business and less on the backend work.
